The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) Summer Recreation Guide for July to August is now available to view online. Registration opens Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The RDOS is offering a diverse lineup of recreation programs and events this summer, with activities designed to engage residents of all ages across the region.
Highlights from the Summer Recreation Guide include popular camps such as PLAY Skills Camps, Outer Space Exploration Week, DIY Makers Week, and the XploreSportz Multi-Sport & More Camp, providing opportunities for children to build skills, explore creativity, and stay active throughout the season.
Families can take part in free drop-in programs like Mondays with Madi, What’s on Wednesdays, Adventure Thursdays, and Fun Fridays at Kenyon Park. Special events include Canada Day celebrations, the Under the Sea Beach Party, and outdoor Movie Night.
Additional seasonal programming, such as Beat the Heat water days, the Summer Solstice Outdoor Yoga session, and youth Smash & Splash in the Similkameen, offer engaging ways for residents to connect with their communities and enjoy the warm summer months.
Also, be sure to check out sessions at the Grist Mill, featuring Yoga, Body Core, and Tai Chi, as well as activities at the Similkameen Community Pool and the popular Party in the Park Physical Activity Trailer (PAT) events on Wednesdays.
Residents can create an online account using the RDOS Recreation Software to register for programs and book sports courts, parks, and facilities.
