What We Do

 The Legislative Services department administers the core strategic functions of the organization:

  • Leads the organization's strategic planning
  • Provides legislative advice and legal coordination
  • Supports the Board of Directors in developing policy and decision-making
  • Manages corporate communications
  • Administers local government elections and other voting opportunities
  • Maintains and preserves Regional District records
  • Manages Freedom of Information and Privacy programming
  • Coordinates intergovernmental relations

RDOS Communications

RDOS Communications provides support and oversight to ensure information flowing from the Regional District is consistent, accurate, and shared in a timely manner. Communications is a point of contact for journalists and news organizations, providing information and facilitating interview requests. Communications also supports intergovernmental and Indigenous relations.
