Vandals active at Manitou Park

News Article

INFORMATION RELEASE

Public washrooms at Manitou Park in Electoral Area “E” (Naramata), which are maintained by the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS), have been covered in graffiti. The vandalism is believed to be part of a mischief spree in the community that took place sometime between 9:00 am on Thursday, December 19 and 9:00 am on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

RDOS staff will work to cover the graffiti over the next few days. The washrooms were temporarily closed over the weekend but are now open to the public until further notice. Anyone with information is asked to contact Penticton RCMP (incident number 2024-800249).

The same facility at Manitou Park was closed on two separate occasions in February 2024 due to vandalism that caused damage to washroom amenities.

Anyone with information or who witnesses acts of vandalism is asked to contact the RCMP.

For further information, please contact RDOS Communications.
