Garnett Family Park improvements complete

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is pleased to announce that all planned improvements to the north entrance of Garnett Family Park, located in the Heritage Hills neighbourhood of Electoral Area “D,” are complete. The parking lot is now fully open, and access is no longer impeded.

 “The upgrades at Garnett Family Park reflect our commitment to creating safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces for everyone in the community,” said Matt Taylor, Area “D” director. “These improvements enhance both functionality and aesthetics, and we’re excited for residents to enjoy the refreshed north entrance.”

 Completed improvements:

  • Asphalt accessibility pathway connecting existing pavement surfaces
  • Grading and resurfacing of the parking area using recycled asphalt
  • Placement of parking curbs
  • Reconfigured and updated signage
  • Installation of additional solar light bollards that match existing fixtures
