INFORMATION RELEASE

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is temporarily pausing the 7th Avenue watermain upgrade project in Okanagan Falls. This decision allows time for additional permitting that will support the project's long-term success. This proactive step ensures all regulatory and community considerations are addressed. 

The RDOS is actively working with relevant agencies to complete the permitting process. Work is now anticipated to begin in 2026, with updated timelines to be shared once available. The project remains a key investment in improving water service reliability, fire protection, and water quality for local homes and businesses.
