INFORMATION RELEASE

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is observing National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 30, 2022. RDOS offices will be closed on September 30. Campbell Mountain Landfill will remain open.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation provides an opportunity to engage and educate people about British Columbia’s colonial history and how it has impacted Indigenous communities.

“The RDOS is committed to advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples,” says RDOS Chair Mark Pendergraft. “This is a long-term goal that will require ongoing relationship-building.”
