Tony Iannella hired as manager of regional fire services

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is pleased to announce that Tony Iannella has been hired as the manager of regional fire services. Iannella was selected for the newly created role as part of a competitive process that included a hiring panel comprising internal and external representatives.
In his new role, Iannella leads the Fire Services Division within the RDOS Protective Services Department. Iannella is responsible for implementing policies, programs, and projects. He also provides strategic, operational, and administrative support to rural fire chiefs, facilitates interdepartmental cooperation and mutual aid partnerships, and participates as a member of the Emergency Management Team.
“Tony Iannella is well known among his peers, colleagues, and the RDOS Board for his leadership and professionalism,” said Mark Pendergraft, RDOS chair. “His past deployments include working with regional partners as Fire Branch Coordinator during wildfire events, and serving as acting fire chief in Okanagan Falls and Keremeos.”
For the past 15 years, Iannella has been an integral part of the Willowbrook Volunteer Fire Department, including several years as fire chief.
