Application Forms & Resources

Important Notice: Due to the ongoing Canada Post labour dispute, the processing of land use applications, which require mailed public notification in accordance with the Local Government Act and/or the Regional District Development Procedures Bylaw No. 2500, 2011 is being deferred until Canada Post operations resume. This includes applications for board of variance appeals, bylaw amendments, development variance permits, and temporary use permits.

Prior to completing and submitting one of the following application forms, individuals contemplating a new development or use requiring Regional District Board approval are encouraged to contact the Development Services Department to discuss the nature of the proposal and answer any questions you may have.

All applications will be processed in accordance with Regional District's Development Procedures Bylaw, while applicable fees will be based upon the Fees and Charges Bylaw - copies of which can be accessed from the "Regional Bylaws" page of this web-site.

Depending upon the complexity of the proposal, additional information including professional reports may be required, and it is not unusual for a decision on an application to take several months from the time of submission.

Please note, an application is a process of evaluation and does not automatically ensure approval of a proposal regardless of whether all requested information has been submitted.
