Property Tax Exemptions - for Non-Profit Organizations
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen recognizes the significant value of volunteers, volunteer groups and agencies to the spiritual, educational, social, cultural, and physical well-being of the region.
These non-profit organizations have the opportunity to apply for a Property Tax Exemption. Please see the Property Tax Exemption Guidelines for eligibility criteria.
Property Tax Exemption Guidelines
The deadline for submitting completed application forms including supporting documentation is July 31, 2025.
Successful applicants may be asked to publicly acknowledge the exemption.

2024 Property Tax Exemption Recipients

Annual Utilities Invoices will be mailed the beginning of July 2025 - due date will be August 29, 2025.
Annual utilities include:
- Garbage & Recycling Curbside Fee for Areas "A", "B", "C", "D", "E", "F", "G", "I" and Red Wing
- Olalla Water
- Sun Valley Water
- Willowbrook Water
- Missezula Lake Water
- Gallagher Lake Sewer
- Okanagan Falls Water and Sewer
- Apex Transfer Station
All 2025 unpaid accounts will be assessed a 10% penalty on the outstanding balance after the due date.
Accounts that remain unpaid as of December 19, 2025 will be transferred to property taxes.
Okanagan Falls 2025 Due Dates
1st Quarter - March 21, 2025
2nd Quarter - June 20, 2025
3rd Quarter - September 19, 2025
4th Quarter - December 19, 2025
All Okanagan Falls accounts that have an unpaid balance at December 31, 2025 will be charged a late payment penalty of 10% on the outstanding 2025 amount.
Accounts that remain unpaid as of December 31, 2025 will be transferred to property taxes.
Naramata 2025 Due Dates
1st Quarter - March 21, 2025
2nd Quarter - June 20, 2025
3rd Quarter - September 19, 2025
4th Quarter - December 19, 2025
All Naramata accounts that have an unpaid balance at December 31, 2025 will be charged a late payment penalty of 10% on the outstanding 2025 amount.
Accounts that remain unpaid as of December 31, 2025 will be transferred to property taxes.
West Bench 2025 Due Dates
1st Quarter - May 16, 2025
2nd Quarter - August 15, 2025
3rd Quarter - November 14, 2025
4th Quarter - February 13, 2026
All West Bench accounts that have an unpaid balance at December 19, 2025 will be charged a late payment penalty of 10% on the outstanding 2025 amount.
Accounts that remain unpaid as of December 31, 2025 will be transferred to property taxes.
Note: West Bench 4th Quarter invoice will be issued January 2026. This invoice will not be part of the 2025 transfer to property taxes.
