Regional Grant-in-Aid Program

News Article

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) receives approximately 50 to 60 grant-in-aid applications every year. The requests come from local non-profit societies and community organizations. The grants are used to support the establishment and the operations of non-profit organizations serving communities within the RDOS. The purpose of the Regional Grant-in-Aid is to provide some financial assistance to organizations providing cultural, charitable, sporting, recreational or service activities that benefit the Regional District.

Grants are not provided to subsidize activities that are the responsibility of senior levels of government. The RDOS board approves discretionary regional grant funding requests during the annual budget process, and as they arise throughout the year. The deadline for the 2022 grant applications is Saturday, October 30, 2021. Eligible applicants will be permitted to provide a brief presentation to the RDOS Board of Directors on Friday, November 4, 2021.
