The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) launched the first of three surveys for the Naramata Official Community Plan (OCP) Review in fall 2021. More than 500 community members have already signed up to participate and offer feedback.

The purpose of round one is to generate likes and dislikes about the community that will form objective statements for the next rounds of the survey. More than 2,000 likes and dislikes have been submitted. Preliminary results are available on the RDOS Regional Connections interactive website http://rdosregionalconnections.ca/area-e-ocp 

The next two rounds will focus on measuring the community’s priorities based on the likes and dislikes to inform updates to the OCP.

The deadline to submit input for round one is end of day Sunday, January 16, 2022. Paper copies of the survey will be picked up from the Naramata Store on Monday.

If you see your likes and dislikes are captured in the preliminary results, then there is no need to submit them again. Rounds two and three will be more important to capture as many participants as possible since the survey will be measuring the level of support for objectives, like a vote.

The round two survey will launch on January 31, 2022, with a community open house event in February. Details of how to participate in the open house will be released closer to the event. Participation will adhere to current COVID-19 protocols.
